Data Recovery Center

Advanced Data Recovery Services
How much your recovery will cost depends on the complexity of the issue.
How much your recovery will cost depends on the complexity of the issue and how extensive any damages are. Data Recovery Center offers free evaluations and pricing quotes. We'll run full diagnostics on your media or device, then we'll send you a copy of the evaluation as well as a quote. This means you can find out exactly what's wrong with your device and what your recovery will cost before committing to anything. Due to the wide variety of media we work with and the long list of problems that can occur with each, we can't give an estimate on price. We encourage you to request a free evaluation and quote by filling out our simple request form. After you receive your free quote and evaluation, you can decide whether or not you want to go through with the recovery process or not. If you do, you're covered under our No Data-No Charge policy, which protects you from paying any labor costs if we aren't able to recover the required data. If you decide not to move forward with the recovery process, don't worry, we'll send your media right back to you and you won't owe us anything.
While we are not able to recover just one file or folder from a device, partial recovery is sometimes an option. If damages make a full recovery impossible, we will perform a partial recovery. You will be charged for the files we are able to recover and given a list of good and bad files to go over once the recovery process is complete. Unfortunately, recovering just one or two files from a device is not an option, and we charge by the entire amount of data we recover. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but there simply isn't an efficient way to recover only one or two files.
Once the recovery is finished and you've verified the data recovered by our team, you get to choose how you want your data returned to you. We have a few different options for this. If your data is under 5GB then we can load it onto a flash drive. Depending on the amount of data, there may be a small fee for the flash drive. If your data is over 5GB you'll need a more reliable and lasting media transfer. We offer external hard drives that you can purchase and have your data transferred onto. Again, the cost of the external hard drive is separate from the price you agreed upon for the recovery process and will be an additional cost. Our external hard drives range in size from 500GB and up with varying prices depending on the size you choose. Feel free to contact us for more information on transferring your media or to discuss your different transfer and pricing options.
Yes, we do offer expedited recovery and emergency services. Understand that expedited recovery and expedited emergency services cost a bit more due to the shorter timeframe. However, we can work with you as far as timeframe and price to find something that is comfortable for you. Our customers are our number one priority, so we can customize any service to fit your budget or time constraints. Don't hesitate to ask if you need expedited service or if you don't see exactly what you need listed in our services.
If you haven't requested expedited service or another specific service we will assume you want our standard recovery service. With standard recovery services your quote will arrive by email to the address provided in the request form you filled out for us. The quote usually arrives within 72 hours of our facility receiving your device, however it may arrive sooner.
Now that you have your quote you need to decide whether or not you'd like to move forward with the recovery process based on the amount quoted. If you decline you will need to make arrangements for your media to be sent back to you. If pricing is an issue, please let us know so we can work with you to find a suitable price. Our customers are our number one priority here at Data Recovery Center, we're willing to discuss services and pricing and tailor them to your needs. If you choose to move forward with the data recovery process a deposit may be required. The deposit will be a portion of the full amount quoted to be paid prior to beginning the recovery process. If your case requires a deposit it will say so in the quote you received.
In order for you to proceed with the recovery process, we require either written or verbal approval instructing us that you wish to proceed with the recovery based on the price you were previously quoted. As soon as we receive approval we will start working on you media and provide a time frame for completion. Certain cases, like those with significant mechanical damages, will require a deposit before we're able to start work. If a deposit is required for your case it will say so in the quote we sent to you. It's rare for a deposit to be required and usually only occurs when parts or utilities for the recovery have to be custom ordered. All deposits are non-refundable.
The amount quoted covers a full 100% verified recovery. This includes parts, repair, and extraction of your data as well as engineering time and effort. The price quoted does not include transferring media or shipping, these are separate costs that will be assessed once the recovery is done, if you require shipping or data transfer options.
We apologize that you haven't received an update at this time. The data recovery process can vary depending on a variety of factors. This is especially true if your drive needs replacement parts or requires specific programming. In some cases we may have to order multiple parts or even re-order certain parts. Please be patient and we promise, we will send you an update as soon as one is available. If you need an update now, you can request one by email or phone. We prefer email correspondence, but phone calls are welcomed as well.
We apologize that the recovery is taking a bit longer than expected. Not all recoveries fit our 5-10 day estimate. Many times, drives don't work optimally with replaced parts or bad sectors. Drives often fail multiple times before we reach success, and this can make the process a bit longer. If your recovery is taking longer than expected, chances are the drive requires special attention or the scan and copy process may need to be monitored. If you need more detailed information about the status of your recovery, you can request an update by email or phone at any time. Remember, we do send regular updates as soon as they are available.
Unfortunately, data recovery is an all or nothing process most of the time. We aren't able to recover only one or two files from a device and we are unable to provide pricing quotes for anything other than full recoveries. The price quoted following diagnostics reflects a full recovery of all data on the device, you're responsible for paying this amount once we complete a full recovery, whether or not you need all the data recovered. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you, but there just isn't an efficient way to do partial recoveries.
After your recovery has been completed, you'll receive a file structure via email. This is a file directory that will allow you to view a file tree that lists all files, folders, and other data that has been recovered from your device. Any data we were able to recover will be listed in the file tree. Some files may appear in a different color than others, this signifies system files and hidden files or folders. Once you've taken the time to look over the file tree, we will ask to do a verbal verification of the data to make sure everything is present. However, you can forego this option and take the data as-is.
Once the recovery is finished and you've verified the data recovered by our team, you get to choose how you want your data returned to you. We have a few different options for this. If your data is under 5GB then we can simply load it onto a DVD for a fee of $25. This fee is in addition to the quoted price for the recovery process. If your data is over 5GB you'll need a more reliable and lasting media transfer. We offer external hard drives that you can purchase and have your data transferred onto. Again, the cost of the external hard drive is separate from the price you agreed upon for the recovery process and will be an additional cost. Our external hard drives range in size from 500GB up to 2TB and vary in price depending on the size of the drive. Feel free to contact us for more information on transferring your media or to discuss your different transfer and pricing options.
We're sorry that we haven't shipped out your media yet. If you're waiting for your media after a recovery was completed, you may have missed verification. For every step of the process we require either verbal or written verification from the customer. If you were sent an invoice after the recovery was completed, you'll need to sign, date, and send the form back to us before we're able to ship your media back to you. If you have already signed your invoice and returned it to us and you feel that your media should have been shipped by now, please request an update by phone or email today. We try and keep our customers updated, but sometimes we run into problems or road blacks that delay updates. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you chose to forego the recovery process and are waiting for your original media to be returned to you, you will need to pay our $25 shipping and handling fee or set up your own shipping and email us the label before we can ship your media to you. If you chose not to move forward with the recovery process, we are only able to hold your media for 14 days after that. You should have received an email reminding you of this. If you haven't corresponded with us in over 14 days your media was most likely disposed of. Please contact us by email or phone today to set up shipping or check on whether or not your media is still in our faci
We understand that we aren't always able to cater to everyone's needs, and we're sorry that we weren't able to provide you with the help you were looking for. If you would like to cancel or have decided not to move forward with the recovery process, you will need to set up return shipping. You have two options when it comes to shipping. The first option is to allow us to handle setting up, packaging, and shipping your media. This option comes with a standard $25 shipping and handling fee. The second option is to set up the shipping yourself. All you need to do is set up shipping with UPS, FedEx, USPS, or another shipping service and then send over the shipping label. We'll take care of packaging and making sure your media is ready to be picked up on time at no cost to you. Make sure you provide us with the specific pick up time, so we know when the package needs to be ready.
